The Opportunity
As a Cloud and Platform Engineering Advisory Consultant, you’ll work with high-profile clients to improve engineering effectiveness, modernise operating models, and unlock the full value of cloud and platform technologies.
You’ll help your customers adopt platform-as-a-product thinking, embed DevOps capabilities, and implement modern engineering practices that drive real business outcomes.
You’ll be hands-on with strategy, design and delivery, while also developing as a consultant through structured training, exposure to leadership and certification pathways.
What You’ll Work On
Platform & DevOps Transformation
- Assess and design DevOps capabilities that drive speed, innovation and agility
- Shape platform engineering strategies and operating models
- Advocate platform-as-a-product principles and user-centric design
- Develop maturity roadmaps for DevOps, SRE, CI/CD and cloud engineering
Product-Centric Delivery
- Own/advise across the full lifecycle of platform products
- Define OKRs, KPIs and processes to improve engineering performance
- Maximise clients’ existing tool investments across ITSM and automation
Emerging Tech & Innovation
- Work with modern concepts such as internal developer portals, platform orchestration, and AI/ML integration
- Bring thought leadership on generative AI and next-generation engineering practices
Collaborative Leadership
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, operations and security
- Lead workstreams or projects depending on level (Consultant → Managing Consultant)
What You’ll Bring
You are a strategic problem solver with a grounding in modern engineering and a passion for improving how teams build software. You may have experience in:
- DevOps, SRE, CI/CD, DevSecOps, cloud and hybrid architectures
- Agile transformation and coaching
- Observability and monitoring best practices
- Designing operating models, processes and automation
- Working directly with clients in delivery or consulting environments
Candidates with platform product management experience are especially encouraged to apply.

This role requires UK Security Check (SC) clearance, and eligibility for Developed Vetting (DV). Candidates must have lived in the UK continuously for at least the last 10 years; some roles require sole UK nationality.
