Azure Support Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Azure Support Engineer to join our cloud operations team. This entry-level role focuses on providing first-line support for cloud environments, assisting with troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable performance of cloud-based systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
  • Monitor cloud environments and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests
  • Troubleshoot issues related to virtual machines, networking, storage, and access management
  • Assist in provisioning and configuring cloud resources
  • Support identity and access management using Azure Active Directory
  • Document incidents, solutions, and standard operating procedures
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required
  • Ensure adherence to security and operational best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical knowledge)
  • 0–1 year of experience in IT support, cloud support, or system administration (internships included)
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer support abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks)
  • Exposure to cloud tools or environments
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, CLI, or similar)
  • Relevant certification such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104 – optional for entry level)
