Azure Support Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Azure Support Engineer to join our cloud operations team. This entry-level role focuses on providing first-line support for cloud environments, assisting with troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable performance of cloud-based systems. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Monitor cloud environments and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests
- Troubleshoot issues related to virtual machines, networking, storage, and access management
- Assist in provisioning and configuring cloud resources
- Support identity and access management using Azure Active Directory
- Document incidents, solutions, and standard operating procedures
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required
- Ensure adherence to security and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical knowledge)
- 0–1 year of experience in IT support, cloud support, or system administration (internships included)
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer support abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks)
- Exposure to cloud tools or environments
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, CLI, or similar)
- Relevant certification such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104 – optional for entry level)
