Big Data Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Big Data Developer to join our data engineering team. This is an extreme entry-level opportunity designed for individuals starting their career in big data and analytics. Full training and mentorship will be provided. The role focuses on supporting data pipelines, processing large datasets, and assisting in data engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining basic data pipelines and workflows
• Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets under supervision
• Help maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts on projects
• Assist in debugging and resolving data-related issues
• Document workflows, processes, and technical steps
• Learn and apply big data tools and technologies in real projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic understanding of programming (Python, Java, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to learn big data technologies and tools
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• No professional experience required (training provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to basic data concepts or academic projects
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
• Interest in tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Internship or self-learning in data engineering is a plus
