Civil Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to support the design, planning, and execution of infrastructure and construction projects across the UK. This role involves working on a range of civil engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in line with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop civil engineering solutions for infrastructure and construction projects
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with design and safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental guidelines
- Monitor project progress and address technical issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices
- Familiarity with UK regulations and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, CDM Regulations)
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Working towards or holding professional membership with Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or similar
- Experience in sectors such as infrastructure, highways, drainage, or structural works
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of sustainability and environmental engineering practices
- Experience working on UK-based construction or infrastructure projects
