Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of cloud environments while supporting ongoing operations and deployments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on cloud experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure to ensure uptime and performance
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests in line with SLAs
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues across compute, networking, and storage services
• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams for system improvements
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
• Maintain documentation of processes, incidents, and system configurations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 2–4+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure, or system administration
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security principles
• Experience with Linux/Windows system administration
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities
• Mandatory Certification (at least one):
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM templates)
