Cloud Support Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Cloud Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to support and maintain cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on troubleshooting cloud-related issues, ensuring system reliability, and supporting deployment and configuration activities. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure
- Monitor cloud environments and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests
- Troubleshoot issues related to virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services
- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources
- Manage user access and permissions using Azure Active Directory
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
- Maintain documentation for incidents, solutions, and processes
- Ensure compliance with security and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in cloud support or system administration
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Networking, Storage)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and networking fundamentals
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good communication and customer support abilities
- Mandatory Certification (at least one): Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) (acceptable for junior-mid roles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, CLI, or Python)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and cloud security practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments
