Cloud Support Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Cloud Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to support and maintain cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on troubleshooting cloud-related issues, ensuring system reliability, and supporting deployment and configuration activities. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure
  • Monitor cloud environments and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests
  • Troubleshoot issues related to virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services
  • Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources
  • Manage user access and permissions using Azure Active Directory
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
  • Maintain documentation for incidents, solutions, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in cloud support or system administration
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Networking, Storage)
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and networking fundamentals
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and customer support abilities
  • Mandatory Certification (at least one): Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) (acceptable for junior-mid roles)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, CLI, or Python)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and cloud security practices
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments
