Data Science Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Science Technician to support data science and analytics initiatives. This entry-level role focuses on data preparation, basic analysis, and assisting in the development and maintenance of data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is organized, technically curious, and eager to build a career in data science and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for analysis and modeling
• Assist in maintaining and updating data pipelines and datasets
• Support data scientists in building and testing machine learning models
• Perform basic data analysis and generate reports
• Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation
• Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues
• Follow data governance and security best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
• 0–1 year of experience in data-related roles (internships or academic projects included)
• Basic knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming languages
• Familiarity with data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, Excel)
• Understanding of basic statistics and data analysis concepts
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
• Exposure to machine learning concepts or tools
• Understanding of ETL processes and data workflows
