Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Data Scientist to develop data-driven solutions and generate actionable insights. This role focuses on building machine learning models, analyzing complex datasets, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience within the UK market, strong technical expertise, and a passion for solving real-world problems using data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and predictive solutions
  • Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions
  • Build data visualizations, dashboards, and reports
  • Evaluate and optimize model performance
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in data science within the UK
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch)
  • Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and data modeling techniques
  • Experience with SQL and working with large datasets
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Mandatory Certification (at least one):
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
  • Google Professional Data Engineer
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment
  • Understanding of UK data regulations (e.g., GDPR)
