Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our analytics team. This is an extreme entry-level opportunity designed for candidates beginning their career in data science. Full training, mentorship, and guided project exposure will be provided. The role focuses on supporting data preparation, basic analysis, and assisting in machine learning workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing datasets for analysis
• Support basic data exploration and statistical analysis tasks
• Help develop simple machine learning models under supervision
• Work with senior data scientists on AI/ML projects
• Generate basic reports, charts, and dashboards for insights
• Document data workflows, findings, and processes
• Support data validation and quality checks
• Learn and apply data science tools and techniques on real projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field
• Basic understanding of data analysis and statistics
• Fundamental knowledge of Python or R
• Basic awareness of machine learning concepts
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• No professional experience required (training provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to tools such as Jupyter Notebook or Google Colab
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
• Academic projects or internships in data analytics or AI
• Interest in machine learning, AI, or predictive analytics
