Network Engineer – 3+ Years Experience

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring optimal network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and supporting enterprise IT operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, hands-on networking experience, and a problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues
• Implement network security measures and best practices
• Support LAN/WAN environments and wireless networking solutions
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration backups
• Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams on network-related projects
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and operational standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in network engineering or network support roles
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking devices and firewall configurations
• Experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Mandatory Certification (at least one):
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• CompTIA Network+
• Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud networking environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios
• Knowledge of network security practices and firewall management
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Experience in enterprise or managed services environments
