Network Support Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to support, maintain, and improve enterprise network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with solid experience in network operations, troubleshooting, and security, capable of supporting business-critical connectivity.

You will work closely with IT, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure network availability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Support routing, switching, and firewall configurations
  • Manage and maintain network security and access controls
  • Support VPNs, remote access, and site-to-site connectivity
  • Perform network upgrades, patching, and maintenance
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and asset records
  • Provide escalation support for network-related incidents

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Network Engineer or Network Support role
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Routing & switching (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP)
  • LAN / WAN technologies
  • Wireless networking
  • Experience troubleshooting:
  • Network outages
  • Performance and latency issues
  • Connectivity and access problems
  • Familiarity with:
  • Firewalls and network security concepts
  • VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

  • Experience with enterprise networking vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud networking (Azure / AWS – advantage)
  • Understanding of network monitoring tools
  • Experience working in enterprise or MSP environments

Education & Certifications

  • Degree or diploma in IT, Networking, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (advantage):
  • CCNA / CCNP
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Vendor-specific networking certifications
