Senior Internet of Things Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an innovative and hands-on IoT Engineer to design, develop, and deploy connected device solutions. This role focuses on building end-to-end IoT systems, integrating hardware and software components, and ensuring secure and scalable device communication. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise across embedded systems, networking, and cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop IoT solutions, including device integration and connectivity
• Build and manage data pipelines for IoT devices and sensor data
• Develop firmware/software for embedded systems and edge devices
• Integrate IoT platforms with cloud services and backend systems
• Ensure device security, data protection, and system reliability
• Monitor device performance and troubleshoot connectivity or system issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, data teams)
• Document system architecture, processes, and technical specifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in IoT development or embedded systems engineering
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded platforms
• Understanding of communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, Bluetooth, Zigbee)
• Experience with networking fundamentals and device connectivity
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IoT cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure IoT, Amazon Web Services IoT, or Google Cloud Platform IoT
• Familiarity with edge computing and real-time data processing
• Knowledge of data analytics or integration with AI/ML models
• Experience with hardware prototyping and PCB design
• Understanding of cybersecurity practices for IoT environments
