Software Tester
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of testing methodologies and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and review processes
- Ensure software meets quality standards and user expectations
- Maintain test documentation, test scripts, and reports
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC
- Experience with manual testing and basic test automation
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
- Familiarity with Jira or similar tools
- Basic knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
