I’m currently supporting one of our long-standing technology clients as they continue to scale their engineering function following a sustained period of growth

Operating within the FinTech space, this is a business that has firmly cemented itself as a major player within the UK market over the past two decades

They’re now looking for a Principal Front-End Engineer to help shape the future direction of their customer-facing platform, working across architecture, solution design, technical strategy, and engineering best practice.

This is NOT the kind of role where you’ll just sit in endless meetings and review pull requests all day...

They need someone who still enjoys being technically hands-on, while also acting as a technical leader and mentor across the wider engineering function

Desired experience:

Frontend / Architecture:

TypeScript, JavaScript, React, React Native, Next.js, SPA architecture, SSR/SSG, accessibility, DDD, TDD

☁️ Cloud / DevOps:

AWS, Kubernetes, containers, serverless, microservices, event-driven architecture

Backend / Wider ecosystem exposure:

Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch

Experience within regulated environments / financial services would be highly beneficial, but the business is equally focused on finding someone with strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to positively influence engineering teams.

Package:

Starting salary from £75,000

Up to 20% annual bonus

8% employer pension contribution
