Data Architect
Data Architect | 6-month contract | Bradford (hybrid) | Inside IR35
A national, mission-driven organisation is building out a new architecture function and is looking for a Data Architect to lead the data discipline within it.
Joining at the foundation of a new function. You'll own the data architecture remit - defining patterns and standards, owning the enterprise data model, and acting as design authority on data design across the change portfolio.
The role
- Define and maintain data architecture principles, patterns and standards
- Own the enterprise data model, data dictionary and business glossary
- Act as data design authority across programmes and change initiatives
- Design data models and integration patterns supporting analytics, operational systems and AI use cases
- Promote strong data governance, lineage and quality practices
What you'll bring
- Senior data architecture or data design experience across complex environments
- Proven experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models
- Hands-on Azure data platform experience (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, ADF or Purview)
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and design assurance processes
- Understanding of data governance, metadata, lineage and master data approaches
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and providing constructive design challenge
