Mid-Level Software Developer Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Location: Remote (UK only)  Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent 37.5 hours Monday-Friday Our client is the UK's Premier online Retailer of precious metals, bullion, and coins. This is an exciting opportunity to join their small, growing Technology team as a Mid-Level Software Developer. The team has a pragmatic engineering culture with a focus on moving forward, learning quickly, and improving continuously, without unnecessary process or bureaucracy. The role We're looking for a mid-level software developer to join our engineering team and support the ongoing development and operation of our platforms.You'll work closely with senior developers on day-to-day development, reviewing and completing pull requests, investigating bugs, and contributing to larger projects. A major upcoming piece of work is a full website rebuild onto Kentico Xperience, alongside ongoing improvements to internal tools and systems.This role offers a mix of established platform work and greenfield development, with increasing ownership of systems and features over time. What you'll be doing

• Collaborating on feature development and pull requests
• Supporting day-to-day development across internal tools and the public website
• Investigating, diagnosing, and fixing bugs and production issues
• Contributing to a full website rebuild using Kentico Xperience
• Working on both existing systems and new greenfield projects
• Helping improve code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Participating in an out-of-hours support rota for critical production infrastructure issues
• Contributing ideas and feedback into technical and product discussions where appropriate

Core skills and experience

• 3-5 years commercial development experience
• Strong experience with .NET and MVC-based applications
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with SQL / MS SQL Server
• Familiarity with Azure-based environments
• Experience working with Docker
• Comfortable working with existing codebases and improving them
• Able to communicate clearly and work effectively within a small team
• Passionate about developing and taking ownership 

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue and/or React
• Experience with Kentico Xperience
• Familiarity with Node.js, npm, or modern tooling such as Vite
• Experience working on ecommerce or high-traffic websites
• An interest in building robust, well-designed systems
