Finance ERP Implementation Lead

Finance ERP Implementation Lead

12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: London (Hybrid – 1-2 days per week in the office)

Salary: £65,000-£75,000

We are supporting an established not-for-profit organisation as they embark on a major finance systems transformation to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and are looking for an experienced Finance ERP Implementation Lead to take ownership of the business side of a new ERP implementation.

This is not a technical ERP consultant or project management role – we are looking for someone who has already sat on the client side of an ERP implementation and understands what it takes to deliver change from within a Finance team and can confidently represent the business throughout the programme.

You will act as the link between Finance stakeholders and implementation partners, ensuring the new solution supports the organisation's operational needs while keeping delivery on track.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of the Finance workstream throughout the implementation, working closely with Finance, senior stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure the project is delivered successfully.

From shaping business requirements and improving finance processes through to testing, go-live and post-implementation support, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation gets maximum value from its new ERP platform.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and driving delivery rather than simply coordinating activity.

Requirements

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate experience of:

  • Leading or owning the Finance workstream during an ERP implementation from the business side.
  • Working closely with Finance teams to translate operational requirements into practical system solutions.
  • Implementing or working extensively with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - whilst candidates with implementation experience across other ERP platforms (such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, NetSuite, Unit4, IFS or Agresso) will also be considered, Business Central implementation is highly preferable and it is essential that you would have at least extensively used Business Central.
  • Operating within smaller organisations (typically around 200–300 employees), where working as part of a lean Finance team means being prepared to get involved wherever needed.
  • Driving process improvements while balancing project timelines and business priorities.
  • Managing stakeholders and influencing decisions throughout a transformation programme.

Professional certifications ACA / ACCA / CIMA are highly desirable but candidates can be considered without, should their Business Central implementation experience be strong.

The person

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys making things happen.

You will be practical, delivery-focused and comfortable rolling your sleeves up to overcome challenges. Rather than waiting for others to make decisions, you will take ownership, remove obstacles and keep momentum behind the programme.

We are looking for someone who is motivated by delivering outcomes within a defined timeframe, who can quickly build credibility, focus on what is important to leave behind a successful implementation.

The offering

  • £65,000-£75,000 salary
  • 12-month fixed term contract
  • Hybrid working (typically 1–2 days per week in the London office)
  • The opportunity to play a leading role in a business-critical finance transformation
  • A high level of autonomy, responsibility and visibility across the programme
