NEC Housing Systems Trainer

NEC Housing Systems Trainer

6-month contract | c£450 per day outside IR35 | London / hybrid, predominantly remote

We are recruiting an experienced Systems Trainer to support a major NEC Housing implementation within a large UK housing organisation.

This is a hands-on contract role where you will personally own the training workstream for the initial Estates and Rents phase — from training needs analysis and content creation through to delivery, go-live support and user adoption.

You will work closely with the Business Analyst, Test Lead, Configuration Specialists and Programme Manager to ensure operational teams are confident and ready to use the new system.

What you will be doing

  • Carry out a Training Needs Analysis across Estates and Rents teams.
  • Design and build practical, role-based training materials including user guides, quick-reference guides, e-learning and session content.
  • Deliver classroom, virtual and 1:1 training to users with varying levels of digital confidence.
  • Align training materials with configured system processes, UAT scenarios and agreed ways of working.
  • Own the training plan and schedule through to go-live.
  • Provide floor-walking and hypercare support around implementation.
  • Track completion, readiness and feedback, refining training where required.

What we need

You will have strong, hands-on experience designing and delivering end-user training for major system implementations.

NEC Housing / Northgate Housing training experience is strongly preferred, alongside previous experience within a housing association, local authority or similar regulated environment.

You should also bring experience of Training Needs Analysis, creating user-facing learning materials and delivering training across multiple formats.

Experience with Rents, income management, arrears, Estates, property or tenancy processes would be particularly valuable, as would exposure to Universal Housing / Civica.

This is an individual-contributor role, so you must be comfortable personally producing the content and delivering the training rather than managing a wider L&D team.
