We’re partnering with a leading retail organisation undergoing a major digital and data transformation, and we’re looking for an experienced Programme Manager to take the lead on a portfolio of high-impact initiatives across data, AI, and customer-centric retail innovation.
This is a pivotal role, sitting at the intersection of technology, analytics, and commercial strategy—ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and knows how to turn complex data-led ambitions into tangible business outcomes.
The Opportunity
As Programme Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of a multi-stream transformation programme focused on leveraging data and AI to enhance customer experience, optimise operations, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across technology, digital, merchandising, and operations, ensuring alignment between business goals and programme execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex programmes spanning data platforms, AI/ML use cases, and retail systems
- Define programme roadmap, governance, and delivery frameworks across multiple workstreams
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes
- Manage cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, product owners, and third-party vendors
- Drive adoption of AI-driven solutions (e.g. personalisation, demand forecasting, pricing optimisation)
- Ensure robust risk, dependency, and stakeholder management across the programme lifecycle
- Champion data-driven decision-making and foster a culture of continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager within retail, eCommerce, or consumer-focused industries
- Strong track record delivering data and AI-led transformation programmes at scale
- Solid understanding of data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and AI/ML applications in a commercial setting
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at C-suite level
- Experience working in agile and hybrid delivery environments
- Commercially astute, with a clear focus on value realisation and ROI
- Excellent communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
