Pre-sales Security Consultant

Cyber Security Solutions Consultant (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about helping organisations stay secure in an increasingly connected world? Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges while working closely with customers and sales teams? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are looking for a Cyber Security Solutions Consultant to play a key role in supporting organisations as they design, implement, and improve their cyber security environments. This is a genuinely hybrid position that blends deep technical expertise with consultative, customer-facing engagement.

About the Role

You will sit at the intersection of technology and sales, acting as both a trusted technical advisor and a strategic partner to clients. Your role will be to help customers make sense of complex cyber security solutions, guide them through decision-making processes, and ensure that proposed solutions are effective, deliverable, and sustainable.

Working closely with Sales and Solutions teams, you will support customers throughout the full pre-sales lifecycle, including:

  • Leading introductory and discovery conversations to understand business challenges, technical requirements, and future objectives.
  • Taking ownership of solution design and scoping, producing clear and accurate proposals, scopes of work, and technical documentation.
  • Delivering technical demonstrations and proof of concepts to illustrate the value and practicality of proposed solutions.
  • Managing technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring they are clear, customer-focused, and competitive.
  • Partnering with Sales colleagues to shape and execute successful sales strategies, combining technical insight with commercial awareness.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging cyber security trends, technologies, and relevant industry certifications.
  • Sharing knowledge internally by supporting and enabling colleagues, particularly within sales teams.
  • Contributing to broader strategy and messaging by collaborating with internal teams to showcase technical expertise.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking proactive, motivated individuals with a strong problem-solving mindset and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You should be confident communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering cybersecurity solutions using technologies from vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or Netskope.
  • A consultative approach, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear business value.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of modern security architectures, including SIEM, SOAR, and Managed Security Services.
  • Exposure to advanced security areas such as DDoS protection, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Identity and Access Management (IDAM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Vulnerability Management.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that every opportunity won can be effectively delivered, supported, and scaled, helping both customers and internal teams make sound technical and commercial decisions.

Continuous learning is a core part of this role, with ongoing training and development opportunities to keep your skills at the forefront of the industry.
