Head of Reinsurance
A fast-growing, global insurance technology consultancy is scaling its UK business and is seeking a Reinsurance Consultant to play a central role in that growth.
You will own the Reinsurance competency, acting as the firm’s senior reinsurance authority across UK and international engagements. You’ll shape how reinsurance transformation is conceived, sold and delivered – spanning business change, data and technology-enabled modernisation for leading insurers and reinsurers.
The Role
- Set the reinsurance vision, strategy and roadmap
- Act as a trusted advisor on treaty and facultative transformation, claims, accounting, reporting and data flows
- Lead presales activity, propositions and senior client conversations
- Sponsor and assure complex reinsurance programmes end-to-end
- Collaborate across data, cloud, integration and automation to deliver joined-up solutions
- Build internal reinsurance capability through coaching and competency development
About You
You bring deep reinsurance domain expertise combined with consulting-led, technology-enabled transformation experience. You’re credible with C-suite and senior reinsurance, finance and risk leaders, commercially minded, and comfortable operating autonomously in a low-hierarchy, high-accountability environment.
Experience
- Delivery of reinsurance or reinsurance-adjacent transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of treaty and facultative business, accounting and reporting
- Exposure to cloud solutions (AWS, Azure or GCP) and good understanding of UK/DACH insurance markets (nice to have)
Practicalities
London-based, hybrid working (2–3 days in office).
£110,000-£160,000 per annum based on experience.
