Tech Support/System Engineer

We’re looking for a customer focused person, based in the Milton Keynes and surrounding area, to join our Fronius Welding team and fulfil the role of Field System Engineer in our Technical Support department. You will be responsible for the installation, service, repair and calibration of Fronius welding solutions both in-house and at our customer's sites in the UK and Ireland.With your industry and technical knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of our strategy to take welding to the next level.In this role, your responsibilities will include:Repair of Fronius welding equipment including inverters, torches, hose packs, and automated systemsProviding support to customers and troubleshootingProviding service and calibration of welding equipmentSafety test and weld test after repair and servicingProviding technical support for the introduction of new products/systems/processes into the marketProviding email and telephone support for technical and welding queries/problemsProviding pre-sales and after-sales support to sales team and customersProviding support and demonstration of welding equipmentAssisting with events (trade fairs, open days, seminars, etc.)Assisting with stock controlWe're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:Technical experience preferably on technical support of electrical equipmentElectrical engineering qualificationSingle and 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair skillsIT skills including Microsoft office suite (Excel & Word)Basic knowledge of manual electrode, TIG and MIG/MAG welding processes will be an advantageSales minded/ good customer communication skillsGood communication skills and knowledge transfer abilitiesTeam workerFlexibility to travel across the UK and Ireland (working hours and tasks arranged to suit customer requirements) plus occasional travel to our HQ in Austria for business and trainingCustomer orientated attitude with professional approach to clientsFluent in English (spoken and written)Valid driving licenseYour BenefitsContributory Pension Scheme (optional)Company paid private Health insurance (optional)Death in service policyFree on-site parkingFree on-site gym (Milton Keynes Office)Free fruit available to employees23 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with long serviceThree-day Christmas shut down which does not need to be taken out of your annual leave allowanceRegular team social events and activitiesDiscount scheme for retailers, days out and much moreFamily-owned company with shared values and long-term stabilityAccess to e-learning courses and industry expert knowledge gathered since 1945Are you ready for Fronius?
