Office Manager or Facilities Managers in London with Office Relocation, or Fit Out, Office Moves Experience, the primary lead for the physical transition from a major London headquarters to a new hub.
You are the central point of contact for the granular, day-to-day logistical tasks required to decommission one site and mobilise the next. From managing removal firms and IT installers to overseeing waste management and fit-outs, you ensure the physical move happens on time, on budget, and with zero operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Physical Move Leadership: Oversee removal firms for the secure packing, transit, and precision installation of all company assets.
- Technical Migration: Provide hands-on support for the "lift-and-shift" of critical server rooms and specialized dispatch services.
- Space Planning: Conduct departmental workshops to audit storage and equipment needs, translating them into practical layouts for the new site.
- Supplier Management: Lead the notification of current service providers (cleaning, security, waste) and ensure new operational contracts are active before reoccupation.
- Sustainability: Oversee the ethical disposal, recycling, or resale of redundant assets to meet strict environmental targets.
- Site Mobilisation: Manage the "Day-One" readiness, including furniture installation, AV tech, and staff "New Ways of Working" guides.
Who You Are
You are a disciplined operator who stays calm under the pressure, you shoul have:
- Proven Delivery: Extensive experience in the physical coordination of large-scale office moves and site decommissioning.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of H&S, manual handling, and CDM 2015 regulations.
- Contractor Management: Experience supervising third-party vendors, reviewing RAMS, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Operational Mindset: A proactive problem-solver who can handle loading bay issues, equipment delays, and snagging lists without losing momentum.
