2nd Line Support Engineer in London - Are you a capable and confident 2nd Line Support Engineer looking for greater technical variety and the chance to step up to 3rd line project work over time? We’re hiring for a London-based boutique MSP with a solid reputation and a loyal client base across the hospitality and commercial sectors.
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE) Location: Covent Garden, London (office-based with occasional client site visits in Central London)Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The RoleThis is a largely office-based position, though occasional site visits to Central London clients may be required. You'll play a key role in resolving tickets, supporting junior engineers, and helping shape technical solutions. There's a clear progression route for those keen to step into 3rd line and lead project work.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 2nd line support across a broad IT environment (hardware/software/networking)

Mentor and assist junior team members

Handle escalations from 1st line and resolve complex technical issues

Assist in project planning and implementation
Requirements:

Proven experience in a 2nd line or technical service desk environment

Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, server, and networking issues

Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset

Customer-centric attitude and ability to work well in a team

Commercial experience in an MSP environment (ideal)

MCSE or similar qualification (preferred)
