Senior Infrastructure EngineerGloucester | Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite | eDV Clearance RequiredFrontier Resourcing is partnering with a leading defence technology organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a permanent position based in Gloucester .This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for secure government and defence programmes. Due to the nature of the work, current UK eDV clearance is essential .The RoleAs a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, deployment and support of secure infrastructure solutions across complex programmes. Working within an Agile environment, you'll help maintain operational systems while contributing to the delivery of new capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain and support secure infrastructure and operational systems.Perform system administration, backup and recovery activities.Investigate and resolve infrastructure, network and application issues.Support system installation, maintenance and ongoing improvements.Research and resolve complex technical and system design challenges.Translate technical requirements into robust infrastructure solutions.Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.About youWe're looking for candidates with experience in some or several of the following areas:Essential Skills:Experience working within Agile, Scrum or DevOps environments.Strong background in infrastructure or systems engineering across the full project lifecycle.Linux administration and deployment.Experience supporting enterprise server, storage and desktop infrastructure.Ability to take ownership of technical work packages and collaborate with project teams.Understanding of large-scale, secure information systems.Desirable SkillsExperience with any of the following would be advantageous:Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOSWindows Server and Active DirectoryVMware vSphere / ESXiInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)Docker and KubernetesAWS and/or AzureAtlassian toolsetConcourse CI/CDElasticsearch / KibanaApache KafkaHelmMongoDBEnterprise web applications and servicesTOGAF, MODAF or model-based systems engineeringNetworking monitoring and Red Hat migrationsWhat's on Offer Excellent salary, bonuses and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work on cutting-edge national security and defence programmesLong-term career development within a growing engineering environmentRelocation package available (up to £8k)Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, applicants must hold current UK eDV Security Clearance to be considered.If you're an experienced Infrastructure Engineer looking for your next challenge within the defence sector, we'd be delighted to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
