Recruitment Consultant - IT

Overview:

We are supporting one of our clients in hiring an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join their growing IT recruitment team in Birmingham.

This opportunity is built for recruiters who enjoy the commercial side of recruitment and know how to create opportunities through outbound activity and relationship building. Success in this role comes from winning business, opening doors and converting conversations into long-term partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Generating new business through cold calling and outbound sales activity
  • Building and managing relationships with hiring managers and technology leaders
  • Developing and growing a profitable recruitment desk
  • Managing recruitment processes from vacancy qualification through to placement
  • Driving revenue growth through new client acquisition
  • Building long-term client partnerships within the IT market

What We're Looking For

  • Previous IT recruitment experience within an agency environment
  • Strong business development and sales capability
  • Proven cold calling and outreach success
  • Experience bringing on and developing clients
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • A solid understanding of the IT recruitment market and technology landscape

Technical Market Knowledge Required

Candidates should have experience recruiting across areas such as:

  • Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
  • Cloud & Infrastructure
  • Cyber Security
  • Software Development
  • Data & Analytics
  • Digital Transformation
  • IT Support & Service Desk
  • Project & Programme Management

You should be comfortable discussing technical roles, understanding client requirements and building credibility with IT hiring managers and technology professionals.
