Senior Analytics Engineer

I'm currently supporting a leading global (re)insurer that's investing heavily in data and analytics as a key pillar of its digital transformation. They've recently launched a modern data platform and are now looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a central role in building out advanced reporting, predictive analytics, and AI-driven insights across the business.

This is a business-facing role with real impact - you'll work closely with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, finance, and operations to shape data products that support decision-making at every level.

• Work within a well-established data team, alongside Power BI and Tabular model specialists

• Lead the design and delivery of robust analytics solutions, using Power BI , SSAS Tabular , Python , and predictive modelling techniques

• Help roll out AI tools to improve forecasting, scenario planning, and operational efficiency

• Enhance existing reports and develop new solutions aligned with strategic goals

• Collaborate in an agile delivery environment with strong stakeholder engagement

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI , SSAS Tabular , DAX , and T-SQL

• Comfortable with Python for data modelling and predictive analytics

• Proven experience building forecasting models and 'what-if' scenarios

• Exposure to AI/ML tools applied to business problems

• Solid stakeholder management skills - able to work with teams across the business

• Background in insurance or financial services is a strong advantage

• Familiarity with Databricks is a plus
