System Production Operative

System Production Operative - £30,000 to £35,000 per year - Cambridge - On-site

 FryerMiles are delighted to be working with world leading manufacturing company to assist with their recruitment of a Systems Production Operative.

 The successful candidate will be involved in the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of advanced RF and electronic systems. This is a hands-on, technical role that demands precision, curiosity, and pride in producing equipment that meets the highest engineering standards.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and final systems according to detailed engineering drawings, build notes, and work instructions.
  • Diagnose and repair non-conforming assemblies down to component level, liaising with engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection in line with standard and QMS
  • Identify opportunities to streamline production processes, improve yield, and reduce rework; provide feedback to engineering and production management.
  • Maintain accurate production and test records, updating logs and databases as required.
  • Follow ESD handling procedures and all site safety protocols to ensure a safe, compliant working environment.

 Requirements:

  • Science degree in computer science or Electronics
  • 3+ years of Embedded C and C++
  • Linux Shell Scripting
  • Python
  • Docker
  • Git
  • Postgres
  • Science degree in computer science or Electronics
  • Experience in a fast-paced Engineering environment
  • RF (Radio Frequency) or similar experience.
  • Digital Signal Processing
