Technical Business Analyst

Buisness Analyst - £500–£540 per day inside IR35 - Hybrid - Central Government 

FryerMiles are delighted to working with a leading consultancy on the recruitment of a Technically focused BA role supporting the migration of Microsoft Access databases to SQL Server. Requires strong understanding of data structures, system dependencies, and migration processes rather than broad business process analysis.

• Experience with data migration or database modernisation projects
• Understanding of Microsoft Access and SQL Server environments
• Ability to liaise with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Skills in requirements gathering, data mapping, and testing coordination

The objectives of the project are to:

• Identify and assess all existing Access databases.
• Complete outreach to Access application owners to adequately inform and lead them through the migration process.
• Provision a secure, scalable data host (SQL Server is the preferred data host).
• Migrate data from Access to the new data host with minimal disruption.
• Test the migrated databases to ensure the continued performance, security, and maintainability post-migration.
• Transition to a Business-as-Usual support service.

Must have:

• Central Government experience 
• Eligibility for clearance 
• Willing to travel to client site as and when required
