Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Our consultancy client is working with a major tier 1 financial services client who are currently working on the evolution of their applications to deliver a modern, first class, cloud based platform to their users. As such we are looking for an experienced SRE to join the team to drive best Agile practices, DevOps and software development ways of working. You must have worked within the FS industry previously and have experience in Scripting/Shell languages such as Linux, Bash and Powershell with a good grounding in Linux OS and IP Networking. With application and web server knowledge with NGINX and Apache and virtualisation knowledge with Docker and K8S. The majority of the applications are written in Java and Terraform cloud infrastructure provisioning and APM tool knowledge is required. You will have strong CI/CD experience and have the ability to automate to eliminate/reduce toil. This role will require you to be on site 3 days a week and is inside IR35.
