Avaloq Engineer

Avaloq Engineer - 8-month contract - London/Hybrid (3 days a week on site) - £500 per day (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Engineer to support the delivery and evolution of the One Wealth Platform (OWP) - a strategic initiative to create an integrated, AI-enabled wealth ecosystem spanning RM workbench, digital channels, Middleware, and core banking.

Key skills/responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Avaloq components including parameterisation, Scripting, and interfaces
• Configure Avaloq modules across client management, portfolio management, investment advisory, and transaction processing
• Support product modelling and booking logic aligned to wealth management products
• Integrate Avaloq with the broader One Wealth Platform ecosystem, including RM Workbench, Middleware, and digital channels
• Develop and maintain APIs and event-driven integrations to enable Real Time data exchange across systems
• Enable seamless data flows to support client 360 views, portfolio insights, and transaction processing
• Contribute to core banking modernisation by decoupling product and data layers from Legacy systems
• Support the implementation of a dynamic operational data layer to enable Real Time data consumption
• Ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Enable end-to-end wealth journeys including onboarding, financial planning, portfolio management, and trading
• Support straight-through processing (STP) to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with business teams to align Avaloq capabilities with client and RM journey requirements
• Provide L2/L3 support for Avaloq platform issues, ensuring system stability and performance
• Support release management, deployments, and environment configuration across development and production environments
• Monitor and optimise system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Work within Agile delivery teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams across Middleware, data, and digital platforms
• Contribute to design authority, governance forums, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Proven experience working on wealth platforms (portfolio management, advisory, trading, client life cycle)
• Experience integrating Avaloq with APIs, Middleware, and modern architecture

Our client is a globally recognised financial services consultancy, currently engaged with a tier one bank to recruit for an Avaloq Engineer to join their team on an initial 8-month contract. The role will focus on design, development, and integration of Avaloq core banking capabilities within a modern, modular architecture that enables Real Time data access, improved RM productivity, and seamless client journeys.
