Business Development Manager

Location: Leeds (Hybrid/Remote)

Salary: £30k - £40k + uncapped commission (OTE Year 1: £55k)

We're a small, fast-growing startup with a hands-on culture and a big vision. As an early team member, you'll play a key role in shaping our sales motion, systems, and processes as the business scales.

The Role

This is a full-cycle sales role with real responsibility. You'll generate and manage opportunities, handle inbound demand, run demos and close deals. You will work closely with the founder on positioning, pricing, and deal strategy.

This role suits someone who enjoys building relationships, running consultative sales conversations, and taking ownership of outcomes. You'll be trusted to manage your own pipeline and contribute directly to how Fundin grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities with charities, non-profits, social enterprises, and impact-led organisations through a mix of outbound activity
  • Respond quickly to inbound enquiries, qualify prospects effectively, and prioritise high-intent opportunities.
  • Deliver tailored product demos that clearly communicate Fundin's value
  • Own the sales process end-to-end, from initial contact through to close.
  • Work closely with the founder on larger or strategic opportunities

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally SaaS or services.
  • Comfortable running demos and closing deals independently.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience managing a pipeline and working towards revenue targets.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable with ownership.
  • Client-focused mindset with a consultative approach to selling.

Desirable

  • Experience selling to charities, non-profits, or public sector–adjacent organisations.
  • Experience in tech sales or similar
  • Familiarity with CRMs and modern sales tools.
  • Experience with lead generation tools such as apollo, clay and/or instantly.
