Sales Development Executive - Wigan

🚀 Sales Development Executive

📌 Wigan, £30,000 + OTE

Our client is hiring two Sales Development Executives to support its continued growth. This is a chance to start a career in B2B sales at a company that is investing properly in the people it brings in. No previous sales experience is needed.

About

Our client keeps big multi-site businesses connected. Think retail chains, restaurant groups, gyms and hotels, the kind of brands running dozens or hundreds of locations at once.

If you have ever used the free Wi-Fi in a coffee shop or tapped your card at a till, technology like our client's was behind it. They build the networks those businesses run on, keep them secure and fix them when something goes wrong.

The Opportunity

Our client is building its sales function. That means your ideas will be heard and you will help shape how the team works, rather than inheriting someone else's process. You will start with a full Sales Academy programme in a dedicated learning environment, with one-to-one coaching and complete role training before you are expected to deliver.

What you will get

  • £30,000 base salary + £10,000 OTE
  • Full onboarding through the Furza Sales Academy programme, with 1-1 coaching throughout.
  • 25 days' holiday, rising by a day each year to 30.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • Health cash scheme and life assurance.
  • Perkbox rewards.
  • Hybrid working after probation. The first six months are office-based, then 1-2 days a week from home.
  • Real room to learn and progress as the team grows.

What you will be doing

  • Building a clear understanding of our client's solutions and what they do for customers.
  • Reaching out to prospective customers by phone, email and LinkedIn to introduce the business and open conversations.
  • Booking and supporting calls for the senior sales team.
  • Keeping your activity and pipeline up to date in the CRM.
  • Building relationships that turn into long-term business.

Culture

Our client's culture is built on curiosity, dedication, pace and collaboration. Those values shape how they hire, how they develop people and how they make decisions. The structure is flat and leadership is accessible. Open dialogue is expected, ideas are welcome from everyone, and there is a strong sense of team.

About you

You do not need to tick every box, and you do not need sales experience. Our client will invest in your development:

  • You are genuinely interested in a career in sales.
  • You communicate clearly and enjoy talking to people.
  • You want to build long-term relationships rather than chase quick wins.
  • You are organised, curious and willing to learn.
  • You keep going when something does not work first time.
