Sales Development Representative

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll play a key role in the early stages of the sales cycle by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with the wider sales team to generate interest in the company’s cloud solutions and build a strong pipeline of prospective clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and identifying potential business customers across the UK
  • Making outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to engage prospective clients
  • Qualifying leads by understanding business challenges and identifying potential fit
  • Booking meetings and product demonstrations for senior sales and account management colleagues
  • Learning how cloud-based solutions support business efficiency, security, and growth
  • Maintaining accurate records of prospect interactions within the CRM system
  • Achieving individual activity and performance targets
  • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to support lead generation campaigns
  • Continuously developing product knowledge and sales skills

This role focuses on new business development and does not include account management or ongoing client ownership.

Training & Development

You’ll receive a structured onboarding and training programme designed to build your confidence in sales fundamentals and cloud technology. This includes:

  • Full training on products, services, and the sales development process
  • Call coaching, roleplay sessions, and objection-handling training
  • One-to-one mentoring and ongoing performance coaching
  • Clear development milestones and regular feedback
  • Progression opportunities into Business Development Manager or Account Manager roles
  • Continuous learning as new technologies and services are introduced
