Senior Loan IQ Analyst/Support Tech Lead
We at Fusion Practices are seeking an experienced Senior Loan IQ Analyst to support a large-scale, multi-year finance transformation programme. The role focuses on ensuring accurate, complete, and timely data flow from the Loan IQ platform into finance systems and downstream reporting solutions.
This position will be managed by the Finance Technology function, with day-to-day collaboration within the Loan IQ team to enable hands-on system access and close alignment with business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements & Data Analysis
- Engage with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Data, and Technology to gather and document data and interface requirements
- Perform detailed source system analysis within Loan IQ, including data structures, usage, and lineage
- Define source-to-target mappings for downstream systems such as sub-ledger/GL, data warehouse, and reporting platforms
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reconciliation
- Understand end-to-end loan life cycle events including loans, guarantees, and standby letters of credit (SBLCs)
2. Solution Design & Data Governance
- Design and validate data feeds (files/APIs/messages) from Loan IQ, including transformation logic and reconciliation controls
- Define data quality, completeness, and accuracy controls along with exception handling processes
- Map current and future state lending processes (eg, drawdowns, rollovers, repricing, fees, trading)
- Build and maintain datasets based on Loan IQ entities such as deals, facilities, loans, and cashflows
- Contribute to data governance, documentation standards, and interface design best practices
3. Delivery & Implementation Support
- Support historical data migration activities including profiling, cleansing, and validation
- Identify improvements for future operating model enhancements
- Collaborate across project life cycle phases from design through implementation
4. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Plan and execute SIT and UAT phases
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure proper documentation and evidence for governance and sign-off
5. Risk & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular status updates and manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID)
- Support transition to BAU teams through documentation, training, and knowledge transfer
Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Loan IQ (loan servicing, guarantees, SBLCs, interfaces)
- Solid understanding of loan products, syndicated lending, and related accounting (fees, collateral, life cycle events)
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills including reconciliation and data quality validation
- Experience working on finance transformation programmes (eg, IFRS, sub-ledger implementations, reporting changes)
- Proven ability to produce functional documentation (BRDs, FRDs, mappings, test artefacts)
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Education & Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Data, or Accounting are advantageous
