As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organised, relationship-focused and commercially aware individual to join our business development team.
The Opportunity
This is NOT a door-to-door sales position.
Instead, this is a relationship-focused business development and sales support role centred around engaging with prospective customers throughout their buying journey.
Most opportunities will originate through marketing campaigns, partner referrals, events, webinars, existing networks, LinkedIn activity and inbound enquiries. In some cases, you may also identify and initiate conversations through your own professional networking activities on LinkedIn and other business channels.
The role focuses on building relationships with prospective customers, understanding their business challenges, coordinating meetings, maintaining engagement, managing follow-up activities and helping opportunities progress through the various stages of the sales cycle.
You will work closely with Oracle Cloud, AI and business transformation specialists who lead the technical discussions, demonstrations and solution presentations. Your role is to support the overall customer journey, maintain momentum and ensure prospective customers receive a professional and engaging experience throughout the process.
Enterprise software sales cycles often extend over several months. Success in this role comes from patience, consistency, organisation and strong relationship-building skills rather than aggressive selling techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Development
- Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective customers.
- Engage with contacts throughout the sales cycle.
- Establish trust through regular communication and follow-up.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer priorities and business objectives.
Lead Engagement and Qualification
- Engage with leads generated through marketing campaigns, events, referrals, LinkedIn activity and inbound enquiries.
- Conduct introductory discussions to understand business needs and challenges.
- Gather information to support qualification of opportunities.
- Identify key stakeholders involved in the decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and activities.
Process Coordination
- Arrange meetings between prospective customers and Fusion Practices subject matter experts.
- Coordinate workshops, discovery sessions, follow up meetings involving our technical specialists
- Ensure actions and commitments are tracked and completed.
- Support opportunities through the various stages of the sales process.
- Help maintain momentum and engagement throughout longer sales cycles.
Customer Journey Management
- Act as a consistent point of contact for prospective customers.
- Ensure communications are timely and professional.
- Help coordinate responses to customer questions and information requests.
- Support the overall buying journey from initial introduction through to contract award.
- Build positive relationships that reflect the values and professionalism of Fusion Practices.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with business development, marketing, delivery and leadership teams.
- Share market feedback and prospect requirements.
- Assist with planning customer engagement activities.
- Support marketing campaigns and follow-up initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes.
