Senior Business Analyst (Contract) – Technical Delivery

• Consultancy engagement delivering public sector digital services
• £467 per day (inside IR35)
• 3 months initially, extension likely
• Newcastle or Leeds (3 days onsite)
• BPSS clearance or eligibility

This role requires a Business Analyst with recent, applied experience inside software delivery teams within a consultancy-led environment. The position sits between business stakeholders, product, and specialised engineering teams, with direct exposure to client delivery pressures.

The work depends on understanding how development teams operate, how delivery timelines form, and where technical risk surfaces. The analyst is expected to challenge assumptions, interrogate requirements, and push back when business expectations conflict with delivery reality.

Essential:

• UK central government experience within the last 2
• Recent BA experience within software development environments
• Direct engagement with engineering teams and delivery processes
• Confidence to challenge timelines and enforce clarity on requirements
