Senior Delivery Manager | Up to £490/day Inside IR35 | Newcastle, Birmingham or Leeds
Futureheads have exclusively partnered with a major UK public sector organisation to recruit two experienced Delivery Managers into a large Data & Analytics function.
These roles will support the Head of Delivery in improving how delivery is planned, governed and executed across a portfolio of Data & Analytics initiatives.
This is not a Delivery Manager role focused on running a single team. Instead, you'll operate across a wider delivery landscape, helping bring greater structure, consistency and predictability to delivery across multiple programmes and teams.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the Data & Analytics directorate, you'll play a key role in creating overarching delivery plans, managing cross-functional dependencies and strengthening delivery practices.
You'll help shape a more mature delivery environment, improving governance, standards and ways of working while supporting successful outcomes across a complex portfolio of work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Head of Delivery across key Data & Analytics initiatives
- Creating and maintaining overarching delivery plans
- Managing dependencies across divisions, programmes and teams
- Identifying delivery risks, issues and blockers
- Working with senior stakeholders to align priorities and delivery outcomes
- Improving governance, reporting and delivery oversight
- Helping establish greater consistency and predictability across delivery activities
- Contributing to the maturity of delivery frameworks, standards and ways of working
What We're Looking For
- Strong Delivery Management experience within large and complex organisations
- Experience working across multiple initiatives, programmes or portfolios
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement
- Strong planning, governance and dependency management experience
- Ability to drive delivery outcomes in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
- Experience improving delivery processes, frameworks or operating practices
- Comfortable operating strategically as well as getting into delivery detail when needed
Contract Details
- £490/day Inside IR35
- BPSS clearance required
- Newcastle preferred, although Birmingham or Leeds will also be considered
- Hybrid working with approximately 40% onsite attendance (typically 2-3 days per week)
- Occasional travel, averaging once per fortnight
