Futureheads are exclusively partnered with an early-stage climate tech venture tackling one of the world's most urgent challenges: ocean conservation and the ocean economy. This is a greenfield build where your work will have direct global impact.
In this role, you will contribute across the full data stack from ingestion through to analytics, building and maintaining scalable pipelines across API, streaming, and batch processes. You will support the management of cloud infrastructure on AWS with a DevOps mindset, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and scaling.
Working closely with engineering and product teams, you will deliver data solutions for analytics, internal tools, and AI models, while establishing and maintaining best practices for data governance, security, and reliability.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years' experience in data engineering and cloud infrastructure
- Hands on experience with Fivetran of similar data integration platforms
- Expertise in Python (PySpark), SQL, and dbt (or similar)
- Some Cloud Infrastructure knowledge: DevOps practices, CI/CD, AWS.
- Data warehousing experience (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Experience with event streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub) a plus
- Proven ability to deliver scalable, low-latency data services in fast-moving environments
