Senior Python Developer | 3-6 Month Contract | Gov Project | £470 p.d (Inside IR35)

Role: Senior Python Developer

Day Rate: £470 p.d (Inside IR35)

Client: Dept of UK Government

Location: Remote with 1 day per month in office (location may change monthly)

Clearance: Must be eligible for SC

Duration: Initial 3 months with likely extension

Futureheads is partnered with a leading tech consultancy that specialises in delivering complex and high-impact projects within central government.

They're looking for a Senior Python Developer with prior gov experience; somebody who can hit the ground running and join a significant ongoing programme of work with one of their biggest gov clients.

Essential Requirements

• Python & SQL
• Strong experience of the software development life cycle, including testing (eg pytest), version control (eg git) and CI/CD (eg GitHub Actions)
• Previously designed and built automated data flows and APIs to connect operational systems, data for analytics, and BI systems
• Worked with a range of data source and confident in data wrangling, analysis and manipulation
• Able to communicate with stakeholders, and translate user needs into technical requirements
• Experience working within agile multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Used infrastructure-as-code to deploy AWS cloud infrastructure
• TDD/BDD
