We’re working with a growing digital transformation consultancy delivering impactful work across the public sector, and they’re looking for a Business Analyst which a big focus on data to join their team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong data-focused BA background who wants to play a key role in shaping data strategy, governance, and decision-making in a meaningful environment.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, supportive team where you’ll have real ownership of your work and the chance to drive tangible outcomes.
The role
You’ll act as the bridge between business and data, helping to ensure data initiatives are aligned with wider organisational goals. A big part of your focus will be on improving data governance, quality, and overall data maturity.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs, objectives, and challenges
- Analyse current data processes, assets, and workflows to identify gaps and improvements
- Document data flows, business processes, and governance standards
- Support the development of a data governance framework and best practices
- Define data quality metrics and KPIs to track success and performance
- Help translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong data focus
- Experience working with data governance or data frameworks
- Strong SQL skills and experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau or SAS
- Confident working with complex datasets and drawing meaningful insights
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
The setup
- Up to £75,000
- Hybrid working, with just 1 day per month in London
- Opportunity to work within the government space
- Must be eligible for SC clearance (or able to obtain it)
