Location: Woking (Hybrid - 2 days per week)
Salary: Base Salary up to £80k (DOE) + Uncapped Commission (OTE £140k+)
The opportunity:
We’re working with a fast-growing SaaS and Digital Transformation business that delivers enterprise-grade platforms into the NHS and wider public sector.
With an established customer base across the UK and more than two decades of market presence, the business is entering a significant scale-up phase as they expand their commercial function, product offering, and market reach.
This is a strategic new business role focused on developing and winning complex SaaS opportunities across the NHS and public sector landscape.
You’ll be joining a business with strong leadership, a highly credible market reputation, and a proven product suite already adopted by a large number of healthcare organisations nationally.
The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across NHS Trusts and public sector organisations, helping them modernise digital experiences, improve operational efficiency, and enhance engagement across both patient and staff environments.
The environment is fast-paced, growth-focused, and highly collaborative, with strong internal support across product, delivery, and leadership teams.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of strategic new business activity across a defined territory while managing complex, consultative enterprise sales cycles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving new business growth across the NHS and wider public sector
- Building and managing a high-quality pipeline of strategic opportunities
- Developing relationships with senior decision-makers and digital leaders
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
- Leading discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and commercial discussions
- Creating compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases
- Managing framework, procurement, and tender-led sales processes
- Working closely with internal product, technical, and delivery teams
- Negotiating commercial agreements and driving deals to completion
- Maintaining accurate pipeline management and forecasting activity
- Representing the business within the healthcare and public sector technology market
What we’re looking for:
Essential experience:
- 3+ years’ experience within B2B SaaS or technology sales
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience managing full end-to-end sales cycles
- Experience selling complex software or digital solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Experience managing tenders, procurement, or framework-led sales processes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate within fast-paced, target-driven environments
- Strong commercial awareness and consultative sales approach
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or similar
Desirable / bonus experience:
- Experience selling into the NHS, Social Housing, or wider public sector
- Understanding of NHS procurement and buying processes
- Experience selling Digital Transformation, DXP, workflow, automation, or AI-led solutions
- Experience engaging with C-level or senior public sector stakeholders
- Experience working within high-growth SaaS environments
