The roleThis role sits within the Basecamp Technology group, providing specialised engineering capabilities and scalable components to our Research and Trade Technology groups. You will design, build and operate solutions that improve developer and research experience across the organisation.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the strategy, design and delivery of critical engineering and research-facing systems. You will guide and grow a team of talented engineers working closely with stakeholders to build out our best-in-class tooling.
You will play a key role in building an in-house storage platform, reducing reliance on external vendors and improving cost efficiency, performance and research capability. You will lead a high impact team delivering a phased roadmap from data orchestration and tiering to a fully productionised storage platform.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience: Proven ability to lead strategy, design, delivery and operations for large-scale infrastructureExperience managing and developing high-performing engineering teamsStrong track record owning end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-phase initiativesDeep expertise in distributed systems, with a focus on performance, scalability and reliabilityExperience driving continuous optimisation and performance improvements in production environmentsGreat communication and collaboration skillsWhy should you apply?
