A well-established and highly regarded Legal 500 law firm in Derby is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with around 3–5 years’ PQE to join its growing and progressive disputes team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor looking to develop their career within a modern, forward-thinking law firm where there is genuine scope to take ownership of your work, develop strong client relationships and play an active role in the continued growth of the department.
The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of commercial and business disputes, advising a range of businesses, shareholders, partners and other commercial clients.
The work is expected to include:
- Commercial and contractual disputes
- Contractual claims and breaches of contract
- Property-related disputes and claims
- Shareholder disputes
- Partnership disputes
- General commercial litigation and dispute resolution
- Advising businesses and individuals on contentious matters
You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload and work closely with clients, providing commercially focused advice and practical solutions to complex disputes.
The Ideal Candidate
The firm is looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with approximately 3–5 years' PQE who is confident handling their own matters and is keen to continue developing both their technical expertise and client relationships.
You will ideally be:
- A Qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years' PQE in commercial litigation or commercial disputes
- Experienced in dealing with contractual and/or business disputes
- Comfortable managing your own caseload with appropriate support when required
- A confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- A self-starter who takes ownership of their work
- Commercially minded and able to understand clients' wider business objectives
- Interested in business development and networking
- Keen to build relationships with both existing and prospective clients
- Someone who enjoys working collaboratively while also being able to work independently
