An exciting opportunity had come up to join a well-established specialist law firm in Hertfordshire. Driven by the continues success of the team, this is an additional position within the Dispute Resolution department, offering the opportunity to work alongside experienced solicitors and partners on a varied caseload.
The Role
You will support the Dispute Resolution team across a varied caseload, gaining exposure to matters including:
- Commercial and civil litigation
- Contractual disputes
- Commercial property disputes
- Debt recovery
- Corporate insolvency and claims against directors
- Partnership and LLP disputes
- Shareholder disputes
- Professional negligence
- Business mediation and arbitration
- Contentious probate and related disputes
- Injunctions and other court applications
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience within civil or commercial dispute resolution
- Practical experience of County Court matters
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to prepare court documents, witness statements, disclosure notices and costs schedules
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A commercial and client-focused approach
- Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
- A proactive approach and the initiative to identify opportunities
- An interest in business development and building client relationships
- A professional, personable and approachable manner
- A driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be preferable

- Salary: £25,000-£35,000
- 36-hour working week
