Electronics Patent Attorney – London
A leading intellectual property firm is looking to appoint an Electronics Patent Attorney to join its growing team. This is a brand new position, created in response to continued demand from a strong and expanding client base.
The role would suit a newly qualified Patent Attorney through to around 3 PQE with a background in electronics, semiconductors, electrical engineering, circuits or a related technical discipline. Candidates should have strong patent drafting experience and an interest in working on technically complex inventions for a range of innovative clients.
The Role
You will work closely with clients and colleagues on a broad range of patent matters, with a particular focus on electronics and associated technologies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting high quality patent specifications and applications
- Managing patent prosecution before the UKIPO, EPO and other international patent offices
- Working with clients and inventors to understand complex technical inventions
- Advising clients on patent strategy and protection
- Supporting a varied portfolio of domestic and international patent matters
- Working alongside experienced Patent Attorneys and other IP professionals
Requirements
- NQ to 3 PQE as a Patent Attorney
- A technical background in semiconductors, electronics, electrical engineering, circuits or a related field
- Strong patent drafting experience is essential
- Experience of UK and/or European patent prosecution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine interest in technology and innovation
