A well-established regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Solicitor to lead its Employment team.
This is a genuine opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their career, with responsibility for leading the team, growing the department and managing a varied caseload of employment work.
There is also a clear route to partnership for the right person, with the opportunity to have a real say in the future direction of the department and the wider firm.
The role:
- Leading, mentoring and developing the Employment team
- Managing a varied claimant and respondent caseload
- Handling Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish
- Providing practical and commercially focused advice to a broad client base
- Developing new business through networking and existing client relationships
- Taking responsibility for billing, WIP and departmental performance
- Maintaining strong client relationships and high levels of service
- Playing an active role in the firm's wider leadership and strategy
What the firm is looking for:
- A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in Employment Law
- Strong experience dealing with Employment Tribunal matters
- Someone who is confident managing their own caseload
- Strong client management and business development skills
- Commercially minded with the confidence to lead a team
- Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills
- Ambition to progress towards partnership
