Personal Injury/Litigation Solicitor (1-3 years') – Edinburgh
A leading Scottish law firm is looking to appoint a Personal Injury/Litigation Solicitor to join its busy Dispute Resolution team in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with experience in defender litigation, insurance litigation or liability claims who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and highly regarded practice.
The Opportunity
You will manage your own caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues on a varied range of matters. The role will provide exposure to both contentious and advisory work, with the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and client relationships.
Your work may include:
- Liability and insurance-related disputes
- Employer’s and public liability claims
- Motor claims
- Industrial disease matters
- Clinical negligence
- Sheriff Court and Court of Session litigation
- Pre-action and advisory work
- Assisting with more complex and high-value matters
There will also be opportunities to contribute to client development and wider team initiatives.
About You
You will ideally have:
- 1–3 years’ PQE with experience in defender litigation, insurance litigation or liability claims
- Strong drafting and case management skills
- Experience managing your own caseload and working to court and client deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, commercial and client-focused approach
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
- A genuine interest in developing your career within Dispute Resolution
