£35,000 to £37,000 per annum

Full time - 40 hours per week

Weare seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to joins its expanding team based in Chelmsford. You will be joining a team who are broadly responsible for the reporting and analysis tosupport in decision-making.The company offers trusted security advice, risk mitigation strategies, secure support and integratedsolutions for strategic clients or those operating in complex or sensitive environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Interoperate data and produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports for both internal and external stakeholders, areas include business performance, HR and Governance.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends and highlight issues, support the management in making better business decisions.
  • Write T-SQL codes in the database to collect and manipulate the data for analysis.
  • Design and create new dashboard/ tracker/ report in Google Sheet as per business requirement.
  • Review and optimise existing T-SQL codes and Google Sheet/ Excel reports, to minimise the amount of manual input and enhance data accuracy.
  • Create new reports and manage/ review existing reports in the SSRS as per business requirement.
  • Opportunity to perform further meaningful analysis using various tools e.g. Looker Studio

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Google Sheet and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of database (SQL).
  • Working knowledge of SSRS.
  • (Desirable) Working knowledge of Looker Studio or other dashboarding tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau).
  • (Desirable) Experience performing statistical analysis and understanding of statistical principles.
  • (Desirable) Familiar with ETL concepts and processes,
  • Other Microsoft and Google tools e.g. Google Docs, Slides, etc.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Advanced Google Sheet and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of database (SQL).
  • Working knowledge of SSRS.
  • (Desirable) Working knowledge of R.
  • (Desirable) Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Other Microsoft and Google tools e.g. Google Docs, Slides, etc.
  • Experience of working with large data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Mathematical analysis skills.
  • Team player.
  • Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel skills including Macro & VBA
  • MS SQL Server (or any other systems e.g. MySQL)
