🚀 We’re Hiring: IT Manager

📍 Head Office, Selby

At GBUK, we’re continuing to grow, and with that, comes the need for strong, forward-thinking infrastructure to support our people, customers, and future ambitions.

We’re looking for an IT Manager who can take ownership of our group-wide IT function, driving both operational excellence and strategic development across our business.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how IT enables the business; leading projects, strengthening cyber security, and ensuring our systems evolve alongside our growth.

From managing infrastructure across multiple sites to delivering future-focused IT strategy, this is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.

🔧 What you’ll be doing

• Leading IT across GBUK, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment
• Driving strategic IT projects that support business growth
• Managing and developing relationships with third-party IT service providers
• Overseeing network, server, and cloud-based infrastructure
• Strengthening cyber security and delivering staff training
• Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Managing IT budgets, forecasting, and cost control
• Creating and embedding IT policies, processes, and best practice
• Supporting, managing and developing your team
• Providing guidance to your direct reports on day-to-day and escalated issues

✅ What we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, end-user environments)
• A presence in the office, just outside Selby, at least 3 days per week
• Experience across on-premise and cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint)
• Proven track record of delivering IT projects
• Experience working with Managed Service Providers
• Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across the business
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills

⭐ It would be great if you also have...

• Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central or MS SQL
• Experience with Power Apps or asset management systems
• Understanding of GDPR and data security best practices
